Possibly Canterbury Pottery but it's a fairly common glaze

Just had a look at Canterbury and glazes are similar but like you say it is a fairly common one. Was wondering if, in this instance, that size mattered? And might point in a certain direction?

It'll be part of a pottery's standard ware range. Maybe their Christmas Turkey range :)

I would agree with Naomi. 33 cms equates with a serving plate. The bigger plate you put the cut meat etc on. Given its fairly commonplace one tone glaze, it would probably not be sold as a charger, as these would invariably be more decorated with collectors market in mind.
Still a quality hand made piece though. Bear in mind, buying a smaller dinner plate online off the Winchcombe site would cost you £26.

Very much agreed, thank you both. Am assuming they wouldn't have made too many of these larger plates compared with the usual utilitarian wares for all of the obvious reasons. Well I love it and it will get used. Was never going to leave it behind in the charity shop at £4!
