Pretty much unidentifiable 1970's I would think. It is a very well made jug, but the style and glaze are not individual enough to identify it. There were a lot of potters back in the 1970's, many of them unidentified. It would probably have had a gold sticker or the like. Which always gets lost, and with it any chance of identity.

Thank you very much - that’s pretty much what I expected, it’s a nicely made jug with confident decoration but the shape didn’t ring any bells at all and if the potter didn’t mark their work, even if I find another one I’ll be none the wiser who made it!

Lovely jug. Agreed, likely to be from the 70s but by a very good potter. Unfortunately many switched over to paper labels back then which eventually wash off. Handles and the way the rim and spout is formed can be quite distinctive; just a matter of finding a match to a similarly shaped jug, or waiting for one to turn up with a label
