textured brown and white jug bottle
Hey gang, found this one just last week, reminded me that I actually have a bigger one in storage.
Smooth white glaze inside, crunchy choc brown outside. Sounds tasty! It has no markings underneath but the bigger one has a very loopy flamboyant sig underneath I can't read. Sorry I don't have pictures of that one. ):
Anyone know who made these? The bigger one came with a cork in the top, I don't know if that was original.

sure if you like, but there's nothing on it at all. The larger one in storage has a loopy sig as I said above, and they're dead-split identical (apart from size), so it's not a dodgy knock-off of the other I don't think. :con1:

Re: textured brown and white jug bottle
It helps seeing the bases even when they're unmarked because it shows what the colour of the clay used is and what the finish is like - this can eliminate certain manufacturers. I don't recognise your jug though. If you get a chance to get your other one out of storage it'd be useful to see the signature.

Okay- better late than never! I found a pic of my in-storage vase (who sadly has a chip in his lip), here's the profile and the base:
Does that help out things at all?

Nice one, Jonathan. They sure do look edible, maybe the chip is from someone trying out the flavour!

Re: textured brown and white jug bottle
Getting back to the jug though - I have to agree with Dan - I think it says 'Handarbeit' too....

it doen's say Handarbeit, it says Hand... not readable. Maybe the letter become clearer if you use this marmite thing.
Re: textured brown and white jug bottle
Ah..rub Marmite on it? Okay, I'll do that next week when it comes out of storage. I found another mystery vase yesterday at a junk shop- I'll research it and post that later- probably in this section!
