Steven Sykes Empty Steven Sykes

Steven Sykes ( 1914-2011)  was one of the Picassettes in the 1950's with Willian Newland and Nicholas Vergette amongst others.  A long and varied career. His 1960's work is particularly attractivre.

An earthenware dish with Sun Design dated 1950. 29,5 cms in diameter.

That is very nice! Other potters in the Picassettes style also did tiles for some coffee Bars back in the 1950 early 60's. That is a rare piece.

Thanks Philpot, I managed to pick up 4 by chance without knowing initially who they were by, I just new I liked them and they were of some skill and quality.
