Six petal flower pottery mark, unknown US potter
Does anyone know who this mark belongs to? I believe the pieces to be a Japanese inspired American or UK potter's tribute to the Japanese meoto yunomi (wedding cups). I have numerous examples of Japanese meoto yunomi sets and a few Western examples. The marks look like a six petal flower to me. Thanks for your help.

Not a mark I recognise so unlikely to be a U.K. potter. Certainly looks Japanese influenced so someone who was part of the Mingei movement in the US, imo.

BTW, these yunomi are quite large and heavy. They are yunomi size (3" and 2.75" high x 3.25" diameter) but very thick weighing 1 lb 3 ounces (538 gm ) together. They are real handful. I don't think I have ever seen a Japanese yunomi this robust and heavy. Another reason I am pretty sure they are not Japanese. I do have some Japanese yunomi signed with symbols, not writing, though.
