Thrown plate, incised design.
Dark brown over pale cream slip.
Looks like a professional potter’s work.
Incised mark, maybe WI or IM.
Do design and colours suggest foreign maybe?

The design very much reminds one of the ancient Greek legend of Leda and the Swan. Where Zeus disguised as a swan rapes Leda!

Possibly Northern European; Lapland, or native Canadian. They might be Canadian geese. The hairstyle looks very distinctive.
