Re: Celtic pottery (Newlyn & Mousehole)
I like the base, I'm just not a jug man. Not seen the like before, unusual and interesting for me.
Re: Celtic pottery (Newlyn & Mousehole)
I love jugs and have three similar ones but haven't seen that green tint to the glaze before

Dan, only just seen your archer on horseback.
Love it! and never seen one before either.

Re: Celtic pottery (Newlyn & Mousehole)
worth looking at the later pieces in the Celtic thread, I haven't looked at late Celtic for many years so it might match a piece that I forgot

Re: Celtic pottery (Newlyn & Mousehole)
the nearest match found was a piece made at Mousehole after Bill had left

Re: Celtic pottery (Newlyn & Mousehole)
the handles and glaze match other verified pieces as does the base
I even found a goblet with the little decoration inside
Perhaps a soup bowl?

Re: Celtic pottery (Newlyn & Mousehole)
For what its worth.
I agree - clearly a Mousehole piece.
Nice find. Never seen a 2 handled sugar bowl before (if that's what it is).
The internal decoration isn't too uncommon and crops up on some items.
I see the archer has turned up again.
