Vase with unidentified mark.

My latest charity shop find for a whole £2 is this hand made vase, brown glaze inside but unglazed outside apart from a dark green band round the top. Unusual deep impressed mark on the bottom. Any help with this one is appreciated.

Possibly a lighthouse mark?

It doesn't resemble anything as far as I can make out. It has been very deeply impressed though, as if punched into the clay.
