Does anyone recognise this Italian Vase - Mid century I believe
Hi. Hope someone can help. Does anyone recognise the design of this Italian Vase which I believe to be mid-century. Decorated with a man and a woman 'dancing?' around the upper part and some for of animal (dog?) around the lower half. Marked ITALY on the base (the only similar ITALY mark I have found is the BITOSSI Italy mark but I'm sure there are plenty more similar ones).
It is quite deeply 'ribbed' around the entire suface of the vase much more deeply than I would expect from a sgraffito type of pattern.
It measures 20 cm tall x 10.5 cm in diameter across the centre of the vase (the widest part) and weighs just over 660 gms.
If anyone has any ideas or pointers it would be much appreciated.
Many Thanks
