Modern Asian small bowl
Apologies but I think this has been on before.
I was just taking this year's french beans out of it for planting when I caught the marks on the side which I had missed previously.
Looks to be a group of 4 Asian style characters on the side shown in the last two photographs. It's a pleasing bean holder but pretty sure it's a modern piece and has that distinctive half sphere finish on the bottom.

Looks like it's thrown 'off the hump', which is an Asian method of making sake cups but I'd expect the shape to be different, so maybe by someone practicing or maybe an old piece.
I think the squiggle on the side is simply where it's rubbed up against something metallic; maybe an item of cutlery.
