Re: Cache pot, Alhambrian majolica
I think it's a recent Asian import based on an early 20thC German/Austrian design

Can i ask why you think that, so i can do more research?
I have a pair of these and it's quite likely that they came from the clearout of an antiques shop.

I tend to agree, A copy of European "majolica".
I'm sure I can see moulding marks in the pix.

Re: Cache pot, Alhambrian majolica
I've found one just like it and one very similar with a base mark both attributed to Alhambra Pottery c.1880s.

Re: Cache pot, Alhambrian majolica
Alhambra would have been tin glazed earthenware but this looks like stoneware or a thick porcelain

Re: Cache pot, Alhambrian majolica
There are a number on eBay with a red Alhambrian stamp, and listed as 1880s Victorian majolica. A couple of the listings say The Alhambrian Majolica Company was located in Staffordshire and operated 1888-1910. Maybe it’ll be on the Staffordshire Pottery website.
