Just saw this today - new potter for me and local, near Ashburton.
Whitish thrown stoneware, hand painted design, gold mark RM
Similar very painterly pieces on eBay.
Daughter of Bernard Forrester I think.

Studio vase, incised fish, gold decoration, hand painted gold RM mark .
Looks like stoneware.
I’m sure I’ve seen this work before, possibly locally but don’t recall who made it.

I can see the similarity though I’ve never had any of Bernard F’s pieces. And I put another plate of hers on here recently and I still didn’t recognise this! Thank you - too much for my brain to hold I think.
