This is my last post - thank you all for your patience.
This is just a pitcher with a pinched lip and ribbed body.
The signature seems to say Valdes - but I don't know if that is supposed to be a C crossing the V, l and d.

Valdes is a Spanish surname and that could mean it is likely to come from Spain or a number of South American countries. I have limited knowledge in this area but it doesn't look brightly coloured enough to be of South American origin to me and so I would go for Spanish and it appears to be 50 or so years old.

It might be worth looking at different traditional jug shapes from various Spanish speaking countries.
