ID on ceramic butter bell with cross mark
Hi Everyone,
I have a bit of puzzler here and I hope that someone can help.
Firstly - does anyone recognise the pottery mark in the photos? I had thought it could be Beth Blik but I cannot find any other examples of her work on line to see if this is the sort of thing she might have made. My other thought was Colin Kellam, but I am not sure it fits with his style. If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful.
Secondly - aside from being a small lidded pot, does anyone know what its original use would have been. I may be overthinking things, but I cannot help think that the lid comes down into the pot a long way for a reason - perhaps it is just a style thing but if anyone has any ideas it would be great to hear them!.
Many thanks
Sam

Arwyn Jones has a similar mark. Not sure if he’s done multicoloured decoration
