Moneywise there is only really one name that counts, for some reason all others are seen as lesser

Well it's a sliding scale. At the top is Caiger-Smith. Then there are pieces made at Aldermaston by the staff and apprentices, although since most of them were making Aldermaston standard ware there's not much difference between the prices compared with the work of ex-apprentices who went on to set up their own studios - such as Hazelden and McGowan - and are still held in high regard. Miranda Thomas is probably now comparable with Caiger-Smith himself.
