Is this John Wheeldon?

I had this on my “unmarked, no idea” pile but came across a virtually identical vase in an auction job lot described as by John Wheeldon. Is that likely? He’s not a potter I know and the pot is unmarked.

He did indeed do Raku with lustre. I have a photo of the piece I used to have on the Wheeldon thread. He did mark his work clearly, but often Raku does not take marks very well. So, Yes.

It’s not a shape I’ve seen by him, and he usually marks his pieces clearly. Best to ask him directly.

I will do - I’ve seen enough mis-attributed pots at auction not to place too much weight on it! Thank you.

Looks like a quality piece whoever made it, and he has changed his style a few times.
