Re: Daniell London, Early English Porcelain? Cups and saucers.
I bought these as part of a mixed box with a hand painted Dresden tea cup, Chinese tea bowls and saucers c1780 and other hand painted china. These are all hand painted, all different from each other and carry only a retailers mark. Daniell, London were high end retailers and sold unmarked Coalport among others. Does anyone know who made these please, and a rough date if possible. Many thanks!

They appear to be late 18thC Chinese export porcelain that have been decorated in the West, or at least, added the gilding while the polychrome over-enamels could have been painted in China.
As you say, Daniell would be the retailer.

Thanks for that Naomi. I thought they were early English, but cups and saucers is not my field. The Chinese tea bowls were quite obviously,...err, Chinese! They were willow pattern and hand decorated. You are sure these are Chinese too? The whole box had come from a clearance so possibly part of a collectors dispersal. How about the one with the crest/coat of arms? That was in the box too.
