Re: Stoneware jug - no mark
Maybe early Chris Lewis or one of the Abuja potters at Wenford.

Re: Stoneware jug - no mark
It is the wrong stoneware body for Wenford Bridge but everything correct about the stoneware and the decoration to suggest it's by Chris Lewis. For many years, mid career, he didn't mark his work.

Re: Stoneware jug - no mark
Thank you - I’d found some marked Chris Lewis pots with very similar cross-hatched decoration and glaze so I was leaning that way, good to have confirmation.

Re: Stoneware jug - no mark
I had a couple of Hookhouse chargers, going back some years now. One was in a similar colourway with identical cross hatch and a fish. Wish I'd kept hold of it now
Nice jug.
