Studio Jug marked Eynons Ford 1982 - probably John Nuttgens

A recent Charity shop find, 12" tall. I can't find the pottery or a potter. Any information gratefully received.

John Nuttgens? Found a passing ref to him at an address at there, via Google Books.

John Nuttgens was my first thought too.

I've had a quick look at his produce and I think you may be right. Did he use his own mark or use the one on my jug while at Gower? The date and place would be right, but I can find no record of the pottery or if he was working there .I shall dig around a bit more now I have a name to play with. Many thanks to you both.

He moved around a lot. I’ve only seen his N stamp but he probably had a lot of variations

Thanks for all the contributions. I will go with John Nuttgens and label it up accordingly and stash it away. It would be nice to have had the N mark as well, but as it was made at a particular place and time it will only be "attributed" to him. I have seen a Facebook page of his but it looks years out of date, perhaps a private message might get a confirmation from him. The mark must have been used on other things but so far mine stands alone.  Cheers all  .
