Mid Century Vase Identification
Hello
I have a beautiful studio pottery vase made in 1962. The maker appears to be a Florence Jones, however I cannot find out any information about her.
The vase measures approximately 27cm high and is black and a teal blue (Poole colours). The closet I can find to style is Porthmadog.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Really nice individual vase. The glaze has run and its stuck to the shelf but they have take the time to grind the base flat.
Re: Mid Century Vase Identification
There was a Florrie / Florence Jones who worked for Royal Doulton. Maybe she was making her own pots in retirement? - Edited to add, just checked her dates and she was working for Doulton in the 1910s-20s.
Otherwise I suspect it's by a hobby potter. A professional wouldn't leave the base like that, and the glaze is typical of craft kits of that time.
