Maybe the title should be
"Is the Golden Age of British Male Dominated Studio Pottery Finally Over?" - Go Girls!

Hi Naomim, I guess your comment was only made in a light hearted manner but i never knew studio pottery was a battle for gender superiority, i think the post war studio pottery movement is spread fairly evenly between potters of both sexes .

There are a lot of brilliant women (and men) potters still potting. I don’t see how the golden age can be over while they are still alive

I genuinely don't know enough about the studio world and gender dynamics within to comment on this area.
With regards the world in general and where we are now, speaking as a male:
Whilst we've come a long way from my early years to present, there is still so much further to go and the last bit of any battle can often be the toughest, in my experience.
Now there's (here's) another thread for discussion, anyone care to light that bit of blue touch paper?
I dread to think where we would be without Emily Pankhurst and those of that ilk.
Keep the momentum going ladies, there's much more needs changing
