I love the last line of the article on the BBC website, which leads you to this https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-41480690
Shouldn't the headline be....
Stamford Auction House massively undersells rare Chinese porcelain.

Interesting enough the buyer at Stamford Auctions had travelled from London. A Dealer has probably made a huge killing there!

I agree wholeheartedly with studio- pots there is a total lack of any expertise in a many provincial auction rooms although many of them set themselves up expert 'valuers' and as such Stamford's must must have valued this pot to give an auction estimate, in doing so had this pot sold on the estimate and later found to have been sold on again at the £320,000 i think the vendor would have had good grounds for a case against the auction room, pre internet at auction this pot would have possibly sold relatively cheaply and passed through numerous hands before reaching the very high price .I expect the auction room will now boast of how they achieved such a fine result for the piece but not how they massively undervalued it (come and buy me estimate i expect!!).
