Shaffenacker 505N
Ed will be familiar with this one! Definitely my top ten and probably joint number one for me. So tactile I love it.

Re: Helmut Schäffenacker
I find the ones with musical motif's, theatrical masks and faces command more money than the fish or horse motif's.

Which year was my Schäffenacker wall plates created?
Two ceramic wall plates was hanging in my grandparents house for as long as I can remember.
I received them some years ago, and since I live in an apartment with not much wall space (and gypsum walls) they have been stored in the loft.
However, I have thought about trying to find out who has created them, and with some spare time during christmas holiday I googled and found this forum.
I have enjoyed looking at your Schäffenacker art work, and now I am curious of when my two pieces was made.
Posting picture of plate and stamp here, and one in next reply:

Re: Helmut Schäffenacker
I believe these were made in the early 1960's , some even around late 50's .

How about an ID on this small elephant form. Scandinavian?
We thought we knew who did this, but the base confuses us. Anyone want to take a shot at it. It is 7 cm. tall.
Thank you
Jack

Black and white ceramic vase with 3 abstract faces
Another vase I have for quite some time but was never able to ID...
3 different abstract faces, height 22 cm, brown clay, base unmarked and glazed.
I thought maybe Hungary, but not really sure.
Any help very much appreciated!
Thanks,
Michael
