Unusual Emu? egg shape piece of pottery??? Mark to base. Empty Unusual Emu? egg shape piece of pottery??? Mark to base.

Not so sure this is pottery or not but seems to have a small mark to the
base which leads me to believe it maybe, I have never come across this kind of thing
in the past its quite hollow stands 6.5" tall has a sort of multi colored glaze.
The base mark if it is a mark possibly M or W. Might it be an Emu egg ??
Anyway i am sure i am miles off but thought i would show the experts thanks
