Dish, lobster or scorpion mark, Gerald Lenneyeux Magmell, SA?

Hi folks,
anyone recognise this mark ?

The decoration looks rather childlike. The sort of thing you would see from those numerous decorate a blank from a pottery shop.

I’ve come across this mark before; I think it’s a South Africa potter. I’ll see if I can find it again

There was one with a label, attributed to Gerald Lenneyeux Magmell, potting in the 60s and 70s. Unfortunately there's no reference to him online. I had thought South African if the last letters on the label are SA, but possibly French or Belgium.
"Magmell Pty SA" might be a place because there's another piece just signed Gerald (or Gecard?) Lenneyeux. At the moment I can only find an Australian company by that name
