I'm not sure that it is retro or classically old school?
I would be interested to hear other people's views on this point as those terms may be correct and I just don't understand their meaning.

'Old School' I'd equate to Leach-trained, which this could well be.
Retro, meaning possibly recently made but to an old school or 60s-70s style could fit this piece too, although it might be 70s made so probably vintage rather than retro.
But it's academic. At the end of the day any description that can be searched on later to find a piece again in the event that an ID turns up is fine by me.
