!!HELP!! CAN YOU NAME THIS SCULPTOR?? Empty !!HELP!! CAN YOU NAME THIS SCULPTOR??

I have been trying to discover any information relative to the sculpture for quite some time but to no avail.  I have posted on NZ Ceramics forums but no-one has managed to advise of the sculptor.  To the base it reads wy (in pencil) 197 and what I am reading as two XXs however this could also be interpreted as AV or VA or WM??  It has a good weight.

The other piece I presume is by the same artist??

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The figure appears to be made from plaster implying it’s from a mould; possibly a commercially bought craft kit
The boat appears to be Pottery. I think the XX is just a number 20 rather than a potter’s monogram
