Not sure if jar is slip cast or thrown.
Signed on base - Mariz Maris or Mari S
Painted mark SS 97 perhaps.
Spain? Portugal?

Brilliant, well done Hercules.
Maříž Ceramics Was set u0 in Prague in 1991 and the marks on Mariz on my jar are the accents etc on the letters!
They seem to specialise in very funky decorating.
