Elisabeth Frink
Dame Elisabeth Frink (1930 -1993) was an English sculptor and printmaker, who was born in Great Thurlow, Suffolk.
Her obituary in The Times suggested that there were 3 essential themes in her work namely, "the nature of Man; the 'horseness' of horses; and the divine in human form"
Below are prints from her Spinning Man series of lithographs done in 1965. Examples of these are to be found in the Tate Gallery collection.

Re: Elisabeth Frink
There was an exhibition of Frink's work at the Sainsbury Centre, 'humans and other animals' in 2019 which was a real eye opener, her work is really excellent, her son bequeathed 29 examples of the artists work to the centre after the exhibition, which i guess will be displayed at various times. Are the spinning man litho's yours?.

Re: Elisabeth Frink
I saw her at an exhibition at the Royal Academy must have been late 80s? She was very small, that's all I can remember, can't remember what she said to us at all. These towering sculptures and she barely reached the plinth
Re: Elisabeth Frink
Hi Crawford, Yes some of her sculpture tends to be on the large side, I find her bird sculpture the most intriguing from vaguely recognisable forms to the sinister grotesque.

I did buy, 3 or 4, from the series to sell and didn't keep any. The images above of ones that I owned from the numbered editions.
