Devon CP mark - Churston Pottery

The glaze is almost identical to Skaye's New Devon but mine is marked Devon CP perhaps the potter used to work at New Devon or went to work there

I don't know but maybe Clovelly pottery devon , it's a long shot as i don't know their mark

If memory serves me right, which it does less and less thse days, I think that this is or was (I'm not sure whether it still operates) Crown Pottery, not to be confused with Crown Devon.
Interweb research is difficult though; put in a search for Crown Pottery and you'd need a year just to briefly skim the hits.

Bit of a coincidence picked this up at the boot market this morning.

Possibly an early (or later) version of the Churston Pottery mark?

This is a 2 1/5" square pot, age unknown.

This CP Devon mark is definitely Churston Pottery. I have found a listing on ebay that includes the original label, as well as a picture of the base mark, and am waiting for permission from the seller to post their pictures here. I am so glad this one is off the list!
