MW mark - Mary White Pottery? Empty MW mark - Mary White Pottery?

Hi all,

From my research it appears like this mark belongs to White Mary but I am not 100% sure.
Any help , please?

I think Mary White is a closer match for the mark but I'm not finding a similar style of pot by her and I'm not sure why the MW would be sideways
