New Years Day fair at Winchester
The Winchester antique fair on New Years Day is on again but beware that it is in the new leisure centre at the other end of the city. Not sure how busy it will be but I've had my 3 jabs and have kept away from crowded spaces since before xmas. The new address is 'Bar End Rd', SO23 9NR and it will be AA signposted from junc 9 if coming from the north and from junc 10 if coming from the south. Some new Inuit pieces along with Poole, Moorcroft etc.

I wish you luck. People are being extremely cautious.

Difficult to guage numbers of buyers and sellers who are going to attend , hopefully it will be well attended but the days when it would be 'heaving' with customers has passed. Kempton and others have continued so I believe that it is best to be stay positive ( no not that kind of positive )

That made me chuckle.
My mother has been causing chaos among her circle by proudly announcing everywhere she goes that she had a positive lateral flow test before coming out. In her mind, a test that doesn't show evidence of Covid is positive because it means she gets to go out... I'm slowly losing my voice (and possibly my mind) trying to convince her that a positive test is negative news and a negative test is...oh, never mind...

Hoping to go tomorrow but will leave it until later in the afternoon when numbers should be lower (hopefully sellers won’t pack up early)

Re: New Years Day fair at Winchester
Warning !! The 2023 New years day antique fair usually at Winchester leisure centre is no longer in Winchester.
The new venue is the Fleming Leisure centre in Eastleigh SO50 9NL , a very short distance from the Eastleigh M3 junc.
I was considering a day off and nice lie-in this time but have decided that a 5.30 alarm call is the better bet.
A shame as the new leisure centre at Winchester was a nice venue but apparently they wanted to increase their rates by about 3 times.

I have to go to bed at 10.30 so I'm hopefully asleep before all the fireworks start.
