Re: Eckhardt & Engler
Eckhardt & Engler founded 1898 in Höhr by Peter (some sources name a Ludwig) Eckhardt and his brother-in-law Ernst Johann Engler
as a wholesaling and finishing company. In 1914 they bought a smaller company and a kiln and started the production of pottery.
The mark shown on the top of this thread was in use from 1918 to the 1950ies (probably).
In 1922 they purchased some of the molds from the bankruped company Roßkopf & Gerz. 1971 the firm was taken over by Goebel.

Eckardt & Engler
Initially thought Carstens when I bought it because of the 4 number code, but the impressed A is niggling me and I'm no longer sure if its even German.
Thanks
