Hello from a novice collector from Florida, USA... I have a lovely piece I purchased in a local "Goodwill" thrift store back in 2017. I've been searching "marks" indexes for quite a while, and think I may have hit pay dirt with -  Brian Paul Bearne?!! I am counting on your expertise and holding my breath!!

The clay looks right but the line that bisects the circle is longer than on his usual mark

No it’s not by Bearne. Not a mark I recognise so I think a US potter is far more likely.
