Marked France Abstract Plate ID Help Empty Marked France Abstract Plate ID Help

Apologies if this piece is too modern, as it does say 2005 on it, but I hoped someone might be able to help me identify. It has a fleur de lis with the word FRANCE stamped on the base with MBL handwritten. I've not been able to find anything similar online, any ideas would be much appreciated.

To me it looks like a pottery blank that MBL has bought or been supplied with at a class and then decorated themselves.
