Not a memorable piece, but just in case you recognise the shape and partial mark ……

Could be Grayshott Pottery with the little bent tail showing in the partial mark. Maybe by Mick Dixons (md)  

Thank you. I’ve had Grayshott pieces with this kind of glaze but I think it was really common 50 or so years ago. I’ll keep looking for the same shape jug as that’s a bit less common maybe.
