Just wondering if anyone had any info or know what this is I cant fi d anything with Sim designs I belive its a ginger jar in melon shape? Its about 8 in and 10 with the lid. Any info or help would be apreciated.

It helps to have a photo of the base even if there's no mark, but it looks modern (late 20thC). I cant tell if it's transfer printed and then hand coloured, or if it's all hand decorated, but the bright colours point to it being 20thC. I believe it's Japanese Imari ware.

Yes, it's a moriage style 'over-enamel', ie, hand painted on top of the glaze. But quite a light touch compared to early 20thC moriage.

Yea thats what I thought in my searching I found only 1 Simular piece and I looked for days .. It was from someone selling it on ebay and he is in same location as me so thought it might be part of a set .. His has more moriage but the image is the same I have 2 thought maybe his is center piece?
