Re: Red Earthenware Spouted Bowl
Japanese or South American, maybe? Looks like a traditional form rather than studio pottery.

Re: Red Earthenware Spouted Bowl
It looks like one of the types of Katakuchi or Japanese pouring bowls used for serving sake or tea.
It is a traditional form and is made by Japanese potters to this day.
This, if it is earthenware, as you say, is unlikely to have been made in Japan and to be honest the glazing and decoration looks more British.

It does have a Japanese look to it, you also say British? Could it be South American? It could be terracotta with an applied red and white glaze. The white glaze on the exterior is very thinly applied. I'm pretty sure that it's hand thrown because you can see/feel ridges on the inside. Not sure how old this is... Any thoughts?

Re: Red Earthenware Spouted Bowl
I have no real knowledge of South American pottery and so can't comment. It is also more difficult to suggest what age anything is from photographs than holding them. However, it looks maybe 40 years old.
