Re: Was Jon Cheney in Morar?
I've read that Jon Cheney left Cornwall and moved to Morar in 1967.
Does anyone have any details or examples of his work there?

Was Jon Cheney in Morar?
Do you have a reference for that? The only mention I can find is from denofantiques who's selling a slab vase that looks to be one of Sonia Sjoholm's. Unfortunately Cheney's not in the Marks book
Looking though a number of Jon Cheney's pots on the FB group, it might be a misattribution for pots with an MP or MR stamp, alongside Jon Cheney's JC stamp. The MR stamp is believed to be for another of his assistants, Marilyn Raw (according to Sonia), rather than MP for Morar Pottery. Best to ask Sonia.

Re: Was Jon Cheney in Morar?
I’ve split the query from the Morar Pottery thread. Reading through the Sonia Sjoholm thread she said the Cheneys moved from Porthleven in the early 70s but doesn’t say where they went, or whether Cheney was still potting.

Unfortunately Cheney didn’t include his address on his labels.

Was it Brian Jasper or Graham Fern?

Re: Was Jon Cheney in Morar?
There’s no mention of where Brian Jasper went after potting at Porthleven. Graham Fern moved to New Zealand in 2000s

Jon Cheney left Porthleven in 1972 and moved to the Lake District, whether he opened a new pottery or continued potting in the Lake District no one knows: https://fernpottery.nz/?page_id=57

Re: Was Jon Cheney in Morar?
Jon moved to Cumbria. He worked at Wetheriggs pottery continuing their slipware tradition. He then moved to Longtown where he had a studio.
After this he move to Low House near Penrith, then finally to Scotland.
