Why have a photographed pages from the Bonhams auction catalogue, The Teabowl, for a sale held on 8 November 2005 here?
That's because the 3 teabowls described as being made by Patrick Sargent are by Richard Launder, something that Richard confirmed when I showed him this years later.
Although they are unlike Patrick's work, they were unmarked, which helped the deceit.

Re: Richard (Rick) Launder
Born in 1953, he trained at the West Surrey College of Art and design in Farnham from 1972 until 1976. He then potted in England, Greece and Norway and from 1985 was Associate Professor in the Ceramic Institute of the National College of Art, Craft and Design in Bergen, Norway
He had just returned to the UK when I managed to contact him but that was at least 10 years ago and I have heard nothing about him since.
Examples of his work are in the Aberystwyth University Ceramics collection, which can be found online at: - https://ceramics-aberystwyth.com/potter/richard-launder/

Those teabowls - thanks once more for correctly identifying them as mine. its not entirely an un-understandable mix-up - patrick & i were educated at the same art school - farnham, tho' i attended some years before - but we both have some clear parallel references: shigaraki, early siegburg, la borne... i am soon to embark on a renewed journey into this world - so watch this space! (connecting back to dartington also)
then that mug: they got that wrong also: its a mug made by dartington pottery training workshop (as was) when peter starkey headed it up & fired during the camp in a temporary salt kiln which i participated with peter starkey in building/firing so it should read: made by peter starkey (?) fired by ps & rl. i had my independant studio at shinners bridge (renting from marianne de trey) where peter & i had a shared salt kiln, which i built.

Please keep us informed, Richard, of your "return journey" as I , for one, would be very interested.
