WMF Glass (Germany) Empty Art glass charger, green rim, striking pattern. No mark - W.M.F Ikora

Beautiful glass charger 29.5 cm across, approx. 4cm deep. No marks that I can see. Does anyone have any ideas where I can start?

Try looking at WMF, perhaps Ikora.

Thanks for the info John. I've been on the search and it does look very likely (hoping!) to be 30's Ikora, would never have found this trail on my own.
I'm following it up. I'll post how I get on.

WMF Glass (Germany) Empty Art glass charger, green rim, striking pattern. No mark

I've been in contact with Huub Geurts who has a website dealing in Art Nouveau/ Art Deco glass. I gained some good advice, that there is no doubt it's W.M.F Ikora glass, made around 1930 up to 1940. This style is quite common, made in different sizes (5 inch to 18 inch). The blue ones are apparently more rare and sort after.

Thanks everyone for helping me discover what it is.

WMF Glass (Germany) Empty WMF Glass (Germany)

Post by RobSchenkel March 28th 2022, 2:16 pm

Dear members,

I have this piece of glass in my possession since forever and until now I have no idea where it is from. My gut feeling says that it is a candle holder made in Murano. Am I correct in this?
