There is a Josh Johnson online based in Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire, Wales. Potting since the 80s. I suspect he's the same one

Had an email from someone who knew the potters: 

The Chestnut pottery was run by husband and wife team Josh and Alison Johnson. They studied at the North East Wales Institute in Wrexham in between 1986 and 1988. (NEWI is now subsumed into Glendwr University). They lived in St Asaph near Rhyl during this time. I lost touch with Josh and Alison when I moved back to London 1988 and I don’t know how well their venture faired. I still have one of their pieces similar in decoration to the ones you’ve shown online.
