I have this jug with a mirrored WM or XX mark which I cannot find online, anyone have any ideas? There is also a mark beside it that looks like a '1' however it may be an 'L'. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I've come across the mark a number of times but still a mystery. Might be French

Thank you for the information. My thoughts were that it must be continental as I couldn't find it on any British reference sites or books.
