Worpswede is a small city in the near of Bremen. It was and is very famous for it's artists' colony.

The correct spelling is Worpswede. There was a well known artist colony about 20 km north of Bremen. You can still visit all the art shops. I have added a hand decorated worpswede jug im my album if you wish to see it. It still has the thumb mark of the potter
