Pewter & wood box with porcelain insert, European. Empty Pewter & wood box with porcelain insert, European.

Pewter or silver metal covered wood box with porcelain insert, European. 
I only bought this one but there was another with a landscape and one with a bird.
German? Italian? Russian or E European? 
The box has an MS mark underneath.

If it's just a thin pewter "foil" on wood, I might go for French.
