Chinese/Japanese mug??
Hello Everyone
Hopefully you can help...
Attached are two pics of a little mug I picked up that I'd be interested to know anything about.
It's porcelain, and moulded with a different face on each side - both are of the same military man, one with a pipe and one without.
It is marked to the base but the marks mean nothing to me. I don't know why, but I imagine it might have had an easter egg on the top of it, maybe in the '70's.
It looks Chinese or Japanese... However.. I could be totally wrong as there is no basis to my imaginings!! and there is a bit of a scandinavian feel to the painting.
So, basically, I've no idea!!
I look forward to hearing from you.

Re: Chinese/Japanese mug??
hmmm it definitely doesn't look oriental - not sure about Russian either. It's really nice but I haven't a scooby doo about it's provenance sadly.
