Audrey Martyn - Dove Pottery ?
On Wednesday I went out and even went into an Antique Centre!!! It was a nostalgic trip as I used to have some cabinet space there when it first opened around 20 years ago.
I spot this vase and wonder if it was, as stated on the paper labels.
It is made of earthenware and looks late 1950s and the painted mark looks arty. I know that it isn't the mark "in the book" but I thought it looked authentic enough.
So I really took the photographs for Naomi for interest/discussion.

Not a name I’ve come across before. I guess it’s an exhibition label.

I wonder if it’s one of “Peripatetic Gallery”’s labels

I had never heard of her but the Studio Potters' Mark book says THE DOVE POTTERY painted. The labels might have been put on by the dealer but a while ago (or the previous owner) - it had a tag with a new price £22 T2

You could be correct, Naomi, but it did look British.
