Interesting Old Hand Made CUP????????

Wanted to try and find something out if i can about this piece it intrigues me and
reminds me of the pottery that was made near me at Buckley in some ways, The glaze
is thickly applied then roughly removed at the bottom which is left bare showing the red
clay. The rim and base shows a lot of wear. Glaze shows different colors in strong light
certainly appears dark brown black from a way away but close up under light shows details.
Can't say i have seem a handle made in this way before please help if possible any ideas???

Found the piece to be quite naive in its construction the rim is quite wobbly think it might be country pottery ???
