Nice piece. The decoration pretty much standard finger wipe decoration common in a good deal of modern British slipware pottery. The potter has literally used his fingers to make a line in the glaze pattern, Nothing aboriginal. It looks a though is has been salt glazed with a stoneware clay. A highly skilled piece. But as to whom? The letters MB do not bring any particular potter to mind.

The craters can be caused by adding tin to the glaze
