Hmm the base looks a bit matt to me from the pix, so I'm thinking modern.

Denbydump, what are the trailing "legs" in the glass called? What is good resource for blown glass vocabulary? Thanks.

Does anyone have a any thoughts on this, at first I thought it was a mass produced China piece but there seems to be quite some attention to detail...

Sorry MG, but I suspect your first thought was correct.
The rough, not quite circular base, and the flaws and bubbles
inside, suggest modern.

There are a lot of modern Chinese paperweights but this thread is mainly for vintage ones, c.1930s
